Here's an easy-peasy idea for making a small pillow. As you may know I love re-purposing cloth items -- shower curtains for wall art, bedspreads for tablecloths, etc. This project involves making a pillow out of a placemat. This only works with a double-sided placemat. The one I used is $5 right now at Pier1 Imports.
One end of this placemat is topstiched. Use a seamripper to take out those stitches, thereby opening one end to insert the pillow. I used an 12" x 20" feather pillow insert from Hancock Fabrics.

What a great idea!
Love it so much I'm going to try it.

I am going to go search through all the discontinued samples I have at the shop and try one from them! That should be fun especially with some of those "old" Anichini tapestry things hanging around for ages! Thanks for a great idea!
